Description
The Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB is a puncture-resistant off-road tyre with a SmartGuard rubber insert for excellent protection against flats caused by trail debris such as thorns and broken glass. The centre tread is made up of densely spaced blocks to minimise rolling resistance while the strong outer lugs dual rubber compound provides great offroad traction.
Who’s this item for: This is the perfect option for people running tubes riding fire trails, dirt roads, and the odd bit of singletrack where there are thorns, broken glass, and other pointy things trying to poke holes in their tyres and ruin their day.
Suggested terrain use: It’s not a super aggressive tread but it will roll nice and fast and give you enough grip to hoon around on bike paths, unsealed roads, and the odd bit of singletrack. It won’t be the best choice for steep and loose techy trails though.
Which wheel? Suitable for use on both the front and rear.
Suggested Rim width? They are on the narrow side so a 20mm to 29mm internal width rim would work well.
